Flower Arranging Workshop

Friday 7th July 11am - Prebendal House - £10

Make your own table arrangement, led by a Cathedral Flower Guild member.

There’s something wonderful about working with your hands. Flower arranging has a calming, restorative effect.

Your journey into flower arranging will begin with an introduction from one of our brilliant Flower Guild Members. You’ll learn tips and tricks about preparing flowers so they stay fresh and you’ll discover some of the best ways to combine colours to make the most eye-catching display.

Then it’s your turn to have a go as you pick from our huge selection of beautiful buds and begin to wash and trim your stems. A member of the guild will be on hand to advise you on the best techniques as you create your very own display-worthy piece.

Flower arranging is a tried and tested way of reducing stress and will help your group feel relaxed while learning an amazing new skill. At the end of the workshop take your arrangement home or to be added to the Festival’s arrangements in the Cathedral.

Light refreshments and all the flowers and materials you will need are provided on all of our workshops. Please bring your own flower clippers or secateurs. We hope you enjoy!
